Alternate tunings are a great way to break out of playing the same old thing by forcing you to experiment with new sounds and chord shape. In the video below, I explore a Led Zeppelin style sound using DADGAD tuning on my acoustic guitar. Notice how this type of tuning creates a richer sound due to the use of open string strumming patterns.
