6. “Wish You Were Here” – Intro (Melody Version) Part 2 (BC-105)

The second part of the melody version of our intro is mostly a repeat of the first part, except we only play one measure of the G major chord at the end of our progression (see measure 6, below).

Section Breakdown

As before, we’ll break up part 2 of our melody version of the intro into sections, then put everything together:

  • Em – G x 2 (eighth note strumming pattern)
  • Em – A x 2 (eighth note strumming pattern)
  • G (sixteenth note strumming pattern)

Again, you can try different fingerings for the Em chord to see which you find easiest for playing the melody line.
